چکیده

In this research, biochar (BC) made from the brewer’s spent grain at temperatures of 300, 450, and 600 °C was produced subjected to anaerobic digestion grain. BC shares 2, 5, 10, 50% concerning total solids substrate were tested three substrate-to-inoculum ratios 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, respectively. The process performed 37 took 30 days. For digestion, biomethane production recorded used for kinetics parameter determination according first-order model. After process, residues (digestate) analyzed fertilizing potential. yield differs 264 325 mL×g vs −1 , while parameters 292.7–344.7 0.08–0.11 d 24–42.5 mL×(g ×d) y max k r main factors affecting ratio share. No specific effect between types on found. Second Generation Ethanol Production from Brewers’ Spent Grain

Ethanol production from lignocellulosic biomasses raises a global interest because it represents a good alternative to petroleum-derived energies and reduces the food versus fuel conflict generated by first generation ethanol. In this study, alkaline-acid pretreated brewers’ spent grain (BSG) was evaluated for ethanol production after enzymatic hydrolysis with commercial enzymes. The obtained h...

Anaerobic digestion of brewery spent grain in a semi-continuous bioreactor: inhibition by phenolic degradation products.

In this study anaerobic digestion of selected lignocellulosic substrate, namely brewery spent grain (BSG), was studied. In order to facilitate anaerobic digestion several types of pretreatment methods were tested such as: mechanical, chemical (alkali and acid) and thermo-chemical. The anaerobic digestion experiments were carried out in a semi-continuous stirred bioreactors with the organic load...

Fungal fermentation on anaerobic digestate for lipid-based biofuel production

BACKGROUND Anaerobic digestate is the effluent from anaerobic digestion of organic wastes. It contains a significant amount of nutrients and lignocellulosic materials, even though anaerobic digestion consumed a large portion of organic matters in the wastes. Utilizing the nutrients and lignocellulosic materials in the digestate is critical to significantly improve efficiency of anaerobic digest...

Quality and function of anaerobic digestion residues

The growing number of biogas plants in Europe has resulted in increased production of nutrient-rich digestate, which has potential as fertiliser on arable land. Many different organic materials can be degraded in the anaerobic digestion process, with most macronutrients and micronutrients retained in the digestate. Depending on the ingoing organic substrate and management of the biogas process,...

Anaerobic digestion of the liquid fraction of dairy manure in pilot plant for biogas production: residual methane yield of digestate.

The performance of the only dairy manure biogas plant in Cantabria (Northern coast of Spain) was evaluated in terms of liquid-solid separation and anaerobic digestion of the liquid fraction. Screened liquid fraction was satisfactorily treated in a CSTR digester at HRTs from 20 to 10 days with organic loading rates ranging from 2.0 to 4.5 kg VS/(m(3)d). Stable biogas productions from 0.66 to 1.4...
